So who is cooking what, and how are you cooking it?

2 meats for me, pork shoulder (my choice) and a Turkey to satisfy the grandparents.

Pork is rubbed and ready to be smoked overnight on the BBQ for approx 12 hours.

Turkey will be done in the oven early in the morning.

Gammon, cauliflower cheese, new potatoes. Just me and the Mrs, no need to go all out, just have something we like. Bung on the gammon, go out for a walk, come back, put the veg on, good to go.

Similar to Murph, no Turkey here either. Just the 2 of us so a roast chicken will go in the oven, we'll take the dog for a walk down the beach, a drink at the beach hut cafe and listen to the carol singers before heading home, putting the veg in before a late afternoon/early evening meal. Nice bottle or two of something dry and white, probably a Stellenbosch Chenin Blanc, then try and get up for the early start in South Africa boxing day morning!

Have a good one all

Nice turkey crown from Smithfield's. Defrosted ready after being in the freezer since October

Then mother in law is bringing the beef

7 of us

Normally have half a crown left lol enough for Sarnies that night and beyond

Not bad for £25 really ...best tasting crowns aswell blooming lovely

We're going to the in laws so I'm doing a Rib of Beef (cooked rare) , pigs in blankets and just made pork stuffing balls.

I'm not a fan of roast dinners in all honestly.

The wine is the most important part of the day

Pepperoni pizza for me and older Colch jnr. Sweet chilli chicken pizza for Mrs Colch and younger Colch jnr. It means that I spend the day with the kids instead of in the kitchen. Roast dinner (pork and beef) with the in laws on Boxing Day.

Full roast Turkey dinner done and dusted this evening with the grandkids ,now stuffed . Left overs tomorrow after climbing the Wrekin with the doggies ?

HID will be putting the turkey and beef in whilst I prep the veg and the stuffing. Mash, roasties, parsnips, turnip, carrots, peas.

Christmas pudding and sauce is my remit.

I’m head barman for the day. Red, white, various beers, caramel vodka.

The afternoon, for the boys, will be rounded off in the snooker room. The ladies are planning music...

Cooking turkey crown with all the trimmings for me and HID. Aim to get it all going and then takes dogs out for a walk along the coast.
always try to have lunch at 2 but somehow ends up nearer 4.
Usually have a beer before and a glass of wine with me al and a gandt after, but taking it easier this year so will see how it goes.
Have bought a few nubbles for the evening but these usually stay uneaten as too stuffed from lunch.

Roast turkey and cold ham with usual trimmings.
Just finished prepping the stuffings.
Coordination will be the test we've 21 people for the meal.

No idea what's cooking here the FiL is on it this year all i know is we're having a full on 3 course feast and it will be simply amazing as he is a phenomenal cook, ill be playing games and relaxing

Not a huge Turkey fan, to put it lightly! The mrs is vegetarian. So I'm cooking something I properly enjoy! Got a nice chunk of rolled sirloin, and the rest of the ham I cooked this evening. Usual trimmings to go with it, and a lovely glass of red or 3 helped along with some homemade sloe gin.

Simple roast chicken today after a walk around the Lido... Will be doing the turkey, with all the trimmings, on Sunday with kids and grandkids in attendance...

BIG decision today will be to whether fall off the wagon today or save the fall for Sunday...

Merry Christmas to one and all ??...

I’m cooking for me, the wife, three kids, my two in-laws and the wife’s uncle. My in-laws have provided the meat.

Doing a turkey crown and also a beef sirloin joint. Mother in law doesn’t like turkey so the beef is mainly for her. Trouble is, she likes it well done and so my father in law has had a quiet word to my wife to make sure I cook it as such.

It’s a beautiful cut of meat and I am tasked with cremating it. I feel like I’m about to commit a crime! I certainly won’t be eating any of it!
