Christmas Trees

We went artificial last year. Paid a lot for a decent one but it looks good and so much less hassle. Forgot to keep the receipt though ?

Just think of all the car park charges saved every year if you keep it in the loft instead of hunting down a new one every year.

We splashed out a couple of years back for a decent, pre-lit, artificial one - it's an absolute game changer as it takes 15 mins from agreeing to put it up to my part being finished, and that includes getting the ladder and getting it out of the cupboard.

If I am at home for Xmas (probably one year in 5) then I do get a real tree but otherwise we have a couple of artificial ones that we use. It started as one but my wife and I buy a new decoration every year when we go on holiday and have done this ever since we met and so there are now too many for one tree.

We went artificial a few years ago, it's so realistic Rupert can't help himself. We had to get a small one to replace it that goes on the sideboard and stops bugger ligs cooking his leg up it.

I bought a decent artificial one in the sales when when I got my first house around 1988, it's served me well and will be going up again this year.
(It's even still got its original box!)

Never had a real tree, neither did my parents when I was a kid. Just seems like a daft amount of effort. That said I'm not entirely happy with the amount of effort it takes me to put our fake one up, given that it's one of those that you have to piece together branch by branch. I would love to get a smaller one-piece one that lights up but she always shoots me down and says they look crap. It's alright when you're not the one who has to stick all the branches on.

With the all the new baby stuff we've had to get and got lying around the house I'm not sure we even have room for the usual tree this year. Maybe I can force her hand into buying a smaller one.

This is the first year our little one has been able to really appreciate a tree and she takes great delight in removing every decoration within reach and handing them to you one by one. So you'll have this to look forward to next year ?.

Fake for us although I do wonder if she'd be less inclined to do the above were it a real one and a bit more prickly!

When we moved her grandad gifted us his old fake one ..it was a real faff, each branch had to go in seperately

Proper old school but latest us from 2015 (our first Xmas) to 2020.. after all those years with him (he bought a smaller one now his grandkids older)

We went b&m got a pre lit fake snow covered thing 7 foot

To be fair it takes 15 mins to put up and does look goodPXL_20221203_133257436_copy_1024x1821.jpg
