Christmas 2024

I've just watched the last half hour of A Wonderful Life 😭 (I watched the whole thing last week), and now I'm watching Polar express (without children). Only because I couldn't find White Christmas.

Watched Wonderful life ages ago. Good init. Must be a million n times now. Best thing is to try and spot the continuity errors. Don't IMDb them. Try and find them. There are loads.

I don’t cook them😖. Missis Tash takes great delight in hiding them on my plate for Xmas dinner. A bit like a sixpence in your pud. She thinks it’s funny 😩
My mum did this throughout my childhood. I'd always find them, she'd be disappointed.

My wife gave up with sprouts on my plate a very long time ago. She would try but when I would spend a minute checking under things, taking them out, putting them to one side, it would irritate her so much that she stopped it 😊. She thought that somehow I'd just accept them and eat them. She was very, very wrong 😄

We put £400 a month into a separate account each month for my wife to spend at Christmas on every man and his dog. It make her extremely happy.
We do similar- but with £30 a month 😂. Once nieces and nephews are over 21 (most are now) they don’t get presents so only our parents and special occasions (landmark birthdays such as 40th) for the adults.

My wife doesn't drink or smoke. Her hobby is spending money and when it comes to the family spending it on them makes her happiest of all.

It makes the kids pretty happy too😁

I have a memory as a very, very, small child of my mum being annoyed that I spat out her lovely boiled cabbage. She took my dish away and, unknown to me, spent an age swapping the contents of the pea shells with pinches of the cabbage.
(We're talking Leo dried peas, peashooter ammo).
I dont know how she managed it or how long it took. She brought the dinner back with cabbage removed but peas galore.
I took a spoonful and spat them straight out.
I can still see the "You little essodee" expression on her face 😅

Just don't do what I did one year.
She said "Nothing really" and I believed her.
That was a Christmas to remember!
😖
