There is one thing I nearly always do early for Christmas is to buy the cards in the post Christmas sales.

yes. Slimmed the list down a few years ago, thinking about doing it further next year.
My brother and SIL stopped all cards many years ago and donate to charity instead.

Most of our lot have stopped bothering. I certainly don't but MrsA still sends a handful out.
Even my dad stopped a couple of years ago. He said it basically became an annual "not dead yet" message for people you couldn't be bothered to see or phone anymore.

Another perspective. The First Sunday in Advent coming soon signifying the approach of Christmas Day - so rehearsal for Christmas Evening of Carols and Readings will get underway soon; plus rehearsal for Community Choir Christmas Concert has been ongoing since mid Sept. Love Christmas - and just loving us singing One More Sleep...the perennial Leona Lewis Christmas offering.

It doesn't have to be about buying stuff - it can be about giving - giving our time; our thoughts, our gratitude and our love. That stuff is free to give.

Usually put Heart on the radio whilst having my 25-30 min drive to golf. Put the radio on and they were playing Fairytale of New York. I couldn’t switch over quick enough. Had smooth on since. Coming back from town today and Kate Garraway has started playing Christmas songs

Can't wait to tell my wife I'll be giving her thoughts, gratitude and love for Christmas! Sure she'll be delighted. Not sure how I'll wrap them though.
