Charley Hull - got any good questions?

So managed to recorded some of Charley's responses to mine and others Questions.

This first one was to do with the quality of balls on tour on the range and which ball Charley uses.

This one is about the fans in America.

This one is in relation to trackman. Basically she doesn't use it at all and prefers to work on feel. She related having a bad round immediately following using it once and since then hasn't used it. She also explains that different scenarios means she hits the ball different distances with the same swing.

Good one Rick ... I'm glad that she didn't get asked any difficult questions, like Carly Booth, it would be embarrassing if she got stuck!

Here's my write up from the day:

Played in the Charley Hull VIP day at Centurion today. Had an absolute blast! Charley is great company. Very down to earth and grounded.
Spent an hour or so on the range doing a clinic and a Q&A session (I'll post some videos of the Q&A's on the other thread later). Mark Crossfield was acting as the host and asking Charley most of the questions, but we got plenty in as well.

Then there was a beat the pro comp where 2 winners had the chance to beat Charley on the 19th (our practice hole) but Charley had to hit blindfolded. She hit the first one well, but then Bez cracked a joke just before her second shot which reduced her to a fit of giggles and she shanked it!

Then had some lunch before the main comp. Our 4 ball was myself, Steve and Judith from the Centurion plus Judith's guest Esther from her other club Welwyn Garden City.
The format was best 2 scores counting out of the 4 off 3/4 handicap.
Our 4 ball only received 3,5,5 and 7 shots but we played very steadily notching up 8 birdies between us and carding a very respectable 85 points.
Charley joined us for holes 4-6 and played off the men's tees. I managed to shoot the same score as her for those 3 holes and was pretty happy with that.
Her dad was also with her in a buggy as she walked alongside us chatting about this and that. I asked her about the swearing video on you tube adding that it was my favourite video of her........she also loves it together with the one comparing her and Shane Lowry to see who dropped the best F bomb! Her dad's a nice bloke but doesn't play any more due to a detached retina.

We got back into the clubhouse and waited to see if our score would be competitive, and indeed it was and we were thrilled to come first.
Our prize was 3 rounds at the Oxfordshire and 2 nights accommodation in an executive room.....it wasn't clear if we get one between the 4 of us or a room each!!

Your Golf Travel were great co-hosts for the day.
Pretty sure Bez will add a review of his day as he got to play in Mark Crossfields group. I don't think he played all 18 due to them vlogging, but they did play from the black tees. Bez also managed to win the longest drive comp with a beauty!

All in all feeling really pleased with the golf. I managed a 4 over gross round which included a double bogey so bodes well for the 36 hole MidAm on Thursday at Old Fold Manor.

Great post Rick, nice to meet you guys and play your home course. It will certainly shape up to be a good test as it ages!

I had a cracking day, off first with Mark, Lockey and Charley for 3 holes filmed. Mark and I paired against Coach and Charley, loads of banter was flying around as Charley is a cracing sport, and I can verify the slip of potty mouth. I won't say our result as the video is due out in a week or so on Mark's channel but it was great fun to peg it up off the back tees and see how I faired with "pro's".

We carried on playing after the first 3, but had to turn the cameras off by order of Centurion. That didn't stop the fun though, we kept the same teams for a little bit of match play. I started to play much better once the camera was off, we stayed of the back tees, which are pretty damn long and so didn't complete a compition score (well done to Rick's team though) we would have given you a good run for your money though ;) I estimated about a +3 or +4 gross for me - the peach being the 18th par 5, Driver straight down the middle, 3 wood from 245 into breeze just clearing the pond and not going in the greenside bunker, nipped a 60 to 6 inches for another birdie :)

It was nice to pick up the long drive, not sure what distance or how far it compared to others (where was Rick?) but also off the back tee's and into breeze so a forum estimate would say 280 ish

Great day, Charley was awesome fun and pure talent - her dad was a top bloke too! Mark, Lockey and the YGT team were all spot on good laughs!

Mark Crossfield's video's are all posted now from his Chipping Challenges with Charley and his 3 hole on course match with her and our very own Sybez!!

Charley can sure dish out the banter.....listen out for classics such as "did you hear my crack"? And, (directed to Sybez on the 1st), "Pussy Putt!!"
Bez gets the last laugh though.

The on course video is taken on the first 3 holes and the chipping contest on the 19th par 3 practice hole. The course match played off the black tees, but they played the first as a par 5 although it's actually a par 4 from the blacks on the card.

I think it's pretty entertaining viewing and Charley comes across very well.

Excellent write up boys, nice to see that so of the pros and celebs are " normal " peopl. Well done boys.

Charley does come across very well but it reminds me why I don't watch Crossfield any more. (Did I hear one of them refer to him as Crassfield?)
