so I played AD333 & DX2 predominantly however recently switched to Pro V1x. Long game and chipping has improved dramatically but putting has gone right downhill.

Tend to be short a lot more so whilst I am getting more opportunities on greens I am not converting them. Is it a case of just practise more with the V1x and it will come. Why am I so bad just from a change of ball?

Answers on a postcard please :)

haha

think I will try your distance control drill aswell Bob

if you can putt with those other two balls no reason why the prov1x should be any diff. I find the prov1x is the best on putter feel alone, even better than the ord prov1.

Don't see the issue being the ball if I'm being honest.

I moved from the AD333 to the DX3 with no issues. Then from the DX3 to the Pro V1 with no issues again.

Perhaps the feel of the ball is something you're in the process of getting used to. Just a wild guess mind you.

What distances are you missing from?
It could be that you're giving yourself more chances but they're further away and you can't expect to hole many long ones.
