Anyone use one?

Been struggling with my putting recently and am now thinking about trying something different.

Demoed one briefly at the Scottish Gomf Show, it was the Odyssey O Works R Line CS and liked it. Just not sure if it's worth the risk buying one or just keeping going with my current putter and try to improve with it

Tried one (Seemore) but didn't feel comfy with it at all and really didn't like looking down on it. Not my preferred style by a long way but as it's so personal, go and try some and see what you think.

Got an Odyssey #5 centre shaft when they first came out 10-ish years ago, or whenever it was. I was a serial putter changer, just as i still am with the rest of the clubs - on my 3rd set of irons in a year.

However, they'll have to prise my putter out of my cold dead hands to get it off me. Went from being an average putter, at best, to a very good putter.

I've got a MacGregor MK GT putter with a centre shaft. Not my putter of choice now but the centre shaft never bothered me and I always enjoyed using it.
Mind you, if you ever look down on one, the centre shaft is the least of your visual distractions. :D

Playing one just now, a heavyish curvewing model, going ok - its face balanced, only issue is maybe the sweet spot seems quite small to me with centre shafted putters but I am holing out ok so far.

I have played centre shafted putters from the beginning (purely by accident at first, my first hand-me-down putter just happened to be one), and I really find it easier to set up and hit out of the middle that way. I have a straight back straight through putting stroke (well ... mostly, I guess physically there still is a bit of an arc on it, but it feels very straight to me).

I've been using a centre shafted scotty for about 10 years now. 2.6 select model. In my mind with the centre shaft I feel much more over the ball, feeling that my eyes are on the line of the putt (if that makes sense) and find it easier to start my putts down my intended line. With it being a centre shafted bladed putter it also makes me feel I have to keep my hands very quiet during the stroke as the slightest twitch will have a big impact. My putting stroke is pretty straight back and through with little or no arc.

I have been using it so long that I struggle with the more tradition shapes now and when I try other putters I have a tendency to miss everything right. It is certainly not for everyone and thinking on it I very rarely come across many golfers who use a centre shafted putter or many places that stock them to demo.

I'm a fan of Faced-balanced putters, which every CS putter I know of is! There are a few 'traditional' styles that are also face-balanced, and I get on with almost all of those I've tried also.

Never thought i'd change from my almost 15 year old Bettinardi Baby Bee, but the Seemore that's in the bag now seems even better! The 3 other CS putters I have get occasional use too. My 'collection' (mainly of Bettinardis) has shrunk considerably from its peak!

Used one for about 18 months or so and found it really easy to start the ball on line.

So I did the rational thing and changed it

Would happily use one again, if you struggle on shorter putts I'd definitely recommend it, makes them very simple.

Yep

You still using it? Lovely putter, I struggled on distance control with it TBH but holes loads (for me) of mid range putts and so easy to hole out. Lovely feel aswell......

Still using it. Reshafted with a PX5.5 cut to play 34.5" and just had a new Pure Grips midsize fitted in a nice royal blue. Custom headcover on order from Golficonic.
Love it, such a well weighted putter, distance control is great with it.
Looks much better with the stepless shaft in it though.

I fancy anyone is looking at shifting a centre shaft I'm always having a look

You been at the sherry?😁

I would sell mine if interested, grip is too chunky for my liking.
