I’m looking to have a putting lesson and maybe change putter also. I went to Scottsdale last year and felt like it was steered more toward buying the most expensive putters and upgraded shafts rather than the one that was best suited to me.

I’ve heard that the Quintic is best and doesn’t require the contraption attached to the shaft to get the data, but I’d consider any tech as my priority is a fitter / coach that really knows their stuff and wants to improve my putting rather than sell a certain putter.

I’m based just north of Hereford but will be travelling to Manchester airport next month, so thought I would try somewhere on route.

Route a) Shrewsbury - Wrexham - Chester - Manchester Airport

Route b) Stafford - Stoke - Crewe - Manchester Airport

Any recommendations would be much appreciated?

When I had my original fitting it was on the sam lab so the data was correct however the fitter did not sell putters. They gave you the spec and advised you to then go to a large multi brand store snd try as many as you could. I liked this approach as in his own words “ now you can your sore you can spend £50 or £500 “

I popped into a shop a few weeks back to have a grip change who was also a fitting centre for putters, strangely enough not a single putter under £300

Where did you have the fitting?

House of golf
Manchester golf club
Hopwood cottage.

I went here it’s second to none.
Fabulous facility

It’s on the other side of the city though.

I looked at this the other day as I'm still thinking about changing my putter. Don't understand the discrepancies in prices though. Wedge fitting £50ph. Putter fitting £60 for 1hr20 but if you want a L.A.B. it jumps up to £125. Sounds to me like they are cashing in on LAB popularity.
