Celebs who’ve passed

Don't know if he's the sort of person where we celebrate his life or his death, but Henry Kissinger has died aged 100.
I'd forgotten he was still alive
So had I.
Carpet bombing on his CV.
But he's gone to a better place, the earth where the worms get us all in the end.
Might be a difference between plain worm food and celebrity worm food, as far as the worms are concerned.

Alistair Darling, former Chancellor.
Reminds us that they are not all the same. A decent, caring and honourable man, one worthy of the role he played in all of our lives and the accolades that he’ll receive.

And Shane Macgowan…ah well…I can't help but think he was done in by his lifestyle - but a great legacy left even if most of us only know the one ballad 🙁

Those sausage idiots who donate a tiny amount of their profits to charity, will be up there again no doubt.
They've already announced they aren't releasing a song this year.

What's with the percentage comment? I haven't heard any negativity about them before, other than their songs being irritating.

God bless you Shane. One of my musical heroes. I was lucky enough to see him and The Pogues a load of times. What a songwriter he was.

I'm sat here with a lump in my throat and a tear in my eye. Ridiculous as it's a miracle he made it past 30, never mind 65, but this is a sore one for me.
This is a post that could have easily been written by myself.Ive 3 music heroes.Shane , Joe Strummer & Weller . Only one left now , sad day .

Strummer was the main man for me. Was lucky enough to see The Clash 8 times, and to spend a few hours in their company. Loved everything Joe did (other than CTC), saw him with The Latino Rockabilly War in the Barrowlands, and with The Mescaleros half a dozen times as well.

I wasn't overly into music as a youngster and then round at a mates house he put a record on. Rum, Sodomy and the Lash. Blew me away.
I've loved that record and The Pouges ever since.

Just heard tonight the first live performance of Fairytale of New York was at the Barrowlands in 1987 and I was there.
As people have said it's a wonder he made it this long what a talent, thanks Shane.

I used to see a van parked near me with Denny Laine and the Diplomats written on the outside.
His real name Brian Hines didn't chime well with his group.
