CDH numbers and Nomad Golfers (extracted from "Hillside Final" thread

Re: CDH numbers and Nomad Golfers (extracted from "Hillside Final" thread

Fully agree that its unlikely to ever happen and that is the reason why i enter a lot of opens etc.
I am just trying to give an example of something that would help bring golf courses into the modern era.

Another example - Saunton & RND are competing for members as they are two great courses fairly close to each other, best way round this? offer a deal for all 3. Join Saunton for about £800 a year and get RND for £300.

How does it bring them into the modern era though ? What's modern about it ?

And why would Saunton and RND enter into an agreement where by they get less money but potentially more footfall on their golf course ?

Never going to happen. Some at Saunton are already suggesting they have to many members - read - not enough tee times for cash paying visitors.
