I have a way to get cheap car parts.....
Go to Halfords and tell them that you work in the car industry and ask for a trade card.
You receive anything from 10-80% off all car parts. (excludes stereo's, amps etc etc)
I got one even though I don't work on cars! Happy days when wipers, oils, bulbs etc are a fortune.
I have heard of a few people being asked for proof of employment but I wasn't asked and neither was a lot of other people.
