can the sldr actually be beaten?

I thought this club launched higher? How does this help when hitting into the wind? Just curious as I always thought you should keep it low when playing into the wind.

It launches quicker by all accounts due to people having higher loft. But doesn't actually peak any higher. Also, due to less spin imparted on the ball the wind doesn't hold it up so much ergo if is better in the wind than competition. At least that's the theory.

I doubt it, At the TM HQ visit recently, they mentioned the SLDR would still be the current lead model for the remainder of the year at least.

This time next year maybe.

Tm are announcing at the golf show in September a new model for November release

Any idea how much ...? Makes a £300 driver a whole lot more expensive all of a sudden......

No idea but like you I have noticed that lots of peeps who are being properly fitted are coming back with the black tie, it clearly balances the spin well for that club for a wide range of golfers. Every golf mag and site seem to be running a comp to be fitted at the Belfry for the SLDR or mini or S and lots of black ties coming out.

Followed by the third one in which you said the fitter tweaked it, and it went plus 1 yard. Unless you meant from the old sldr setup. If you did, you weren't clear.

yes anyone can tweak to get more yards but its dispersion and consistency plus yards we all crave.

Terribly sorry I wasnt clear enough..... I'll try harder next time bearing in mind you might be reading it
