Can I mention a golf day I am organising on another forum here?

I must admit that I fancied playing little aston when I was down there last year but had only been back in the game about two months and not sure my game would have stood up to it.

Have you got deals for the two courses?

I haven't Vig, because I'm not 100% sure of what I'm going to do yet. I would really love to play the other two courses whilst I'm up there though.
I've had a look on the website of the Fairlawns hotel you posted the link to earlier.

http://www.fairlawns.co.uk/

Room rate (for a twin) for the two nights is £199.99 so it's about the same price as the RamadaJarvis but looks a little "classier"...I'm just wondering if they would do a "deal" on the green fee if I stayed there the two nights and played Little Aston on the Friday morning before I drive home.
That would mean playing Beau Desert on the Wednesday afternoon, unless I skip that one altogether and just play Aston and Whittington Heath.
I'm still going to need the two nights accommodation though because of the distance I'm travelling. I won't be able to drive up on the morning of the comp...it would be a good four hours for me even setting off early in the morning and I'm not going to feel up to a game after that!
Anyone fancy sharing and making it a bit cheaper????
I snore, but don't fart
;)

Can you do a bank transfer Tony?
If so, I will PM you my bank details....it's easier
If not, a Postal Order will do but I haven't had one of them for years....my Gran always used to give me a five shilling one for my Christmas present! Now ask what a shilling is!!
;)

So the interested party look like this....

Cheque will be on it's way as soon as I can get to a postbox.

Postal orders are still available as far as I am aware. If I remember rigtly it costs the sender more to get them though.

Fairlawns was a classy place. I spoke with the owner when I was there and he told me that they have an "arrangement" with little Aston and good deals.
My missus got us a corporate rate through her company and it certainly wasn't that much.

I'll ask her to make some enquiries. Not told her i'm going yet or for that matter some other dates in the diary. I can feel a few pairs of shoes coming on ;)

If I do play Little Aston Vig it will be on the Friday morning (22nd) if possible mate.
I'm hoping my old knees will stand up to three and a half rounds over three days.
I used the GoKart for the first time last Sunday at Old Thorns and didn't feel too bad at all the following morning. If I had been carrying (as I usually do) I wouldn't have been able to walk.
So it's looking promising

Sort of. The shoes will be for her as a sweetener but she's never been able to run in new shoes.
She has done a bit of distance running until she did something to her hamstring a couple of years ago. Still bothering her now. otherwise i would have been bolloxed, she'd have caught me :)
