can anyone help ? with The Masters Sweepstake Excel spreadsheet

Hi, Im looking for an excel spreadsheet so we can run a sweepstake for the masters in our golf society, the problem we have is our next meeting/match is not until April the 13th so i would like a spreadsheet to generate peoples names to enter beforehand.

What wrong with entering the field yourself on a blank spreadsheet? Better still, what's wrong with good old-fashioned names on paper pulled out of a hat? Either way, you had better get your skates on - the Masters will be finished on the 13th. Unless you have a crystal ball, you may have trouble guessing who will make the cut.

The reason we cant pick our own players is that we only meet up every 3 weeks to play a society match and dont see each other often.
if i could find a spreadsheet to generate names to players, it would be a lot easier.

Haven't done it, but there's quite possibly a simple method using Access for one of the lists, then you can just cut/paste that into a column of a spreadsheet containing the other list.

I'd suggested numbering all the entrants and then using the RAND function to attribute a number to each person inthe sweepstake, then just VLOOKUP the names in
