Camera Dudes

Used my dad's sir this afternoon for a mess about. Really need to do more reading up to vary up the pictures but think the camera is too big, think I want something smaller. I had the bag plus camera with me and it felt too much.

Noticed that we still have a camera shop in town so may take trip and speak to them. Think its an independent too so may get some unbiased advice plus I know they do 2nd hand too.

I have both a dale and digital compact, both being Canon. Whilst the compact is great for sticking in the pocket or sneaky shots, it loses out on shutter lag whereas the door fires straight away as soon as you press go, but it is rather obvious.:)

To decipher....compact digital camera has shutter lag, but fits in the pocket.
Dslr is very obvious to use, but has no shutter lag at all.
Both of mine are Canons.
:smirk:

I've got a redundant Olympus E-PL1 kicking around indoors that would be in your price range.
Got some spare lenses for it, carry case, spare batts and charger etc.
Was highly (highly) rated when it first came out, one of the best of the new breed of 4/3rds cameras.

I have one of these too, had it about 3 years now. Really good camera - there's one on sale on Amazon for your price bracket.
