Callaway CXR?

Is my birthday today, the in-laws got me a dozen Callaway CXR balls.

Before I lose them all (shouldn't be too difficult...) a quick question - are they suitable for a beginner, still getting his cards in for a 28 handicap?

Or should I keep using Slazengers for the time being?

seem to have crept across the pond as they were on sale in the states (Walmart specials) at least 3 years ago.

there's a 'good' review from a guy who went up to these from 15/$15 balls who raves about their having an arrow on them!
