Bubba!!!

I can't say I am pleased to see him win. OK, he hits it a long way, but he comes across like a redneck with Asperger's.

Oh, and his real name is Gerry Lester Watson and he is married to a female basketball player who is taller than he is.

I,m pleased he won,i back him every comp in the hope that he's gonna come through n this time he has.

He had a stunning shot on the 10th that hardly anyone could ever think about playing. He took the risk of curving it and pulled it of a beaut.

I had money on him to win and also an eachway bet on westwood, should pay for a few rounds i hope.

I've said it abut Woods and the same stands for Bubba. I don't care what he does off the course and who he is married to and whether he is some yokel redneck or not. On the course he is fun to watch and to be honest I knew about the charity stuff (pink driver) but never knew about the adoption. Fair play and he seems a decent enough guy to me although the top button thing looks daft. Great Masters and a worthy winner. Oh Lee - when will you learn to putt?

There are exactly 321 reasons I like Bubba, each as valuable as the rest and 10 reasons I dont like Adam Scott or KJ Choi !!!

Either way, it was an exciting last day where any 1 of a 4/5 players could have won. I really enjoyed watching it.

Bit of an anti-climax at the end... Would of prefered seeing it won with a good birdie rather than a fortunate par... Couldn't believe it when Louis followed Bubba into the trees at the second play off hole :(...

Too much stock put on personality and not his ability to play the game IMO.

Deserved win.

Yes he is long, but his shot making skills are second to none, as he proved in the play off. He may have been lucky to end up where he did, but he still had to play the shot...

As much as I like bubba I think his win makes a mockery out of golf and shows just how out of control current technology is no one should be able to hit the ball where he did on 10 this is a 485 yard par 4 and he reduced it to a driver pitch

They made a big thing of tiger proofing Augusta a few years back but now everything has just caught up what are they gonna do make the course longer

they really need to get hold of the golf ball because some of our best courses don't have a spare 1000 yards to add on

Get over it.......

Im not a huge fan but he makes the game interesting.....To say that his win makes a mockery of the game is complete crap......

Are you so naive as to believe that if they try and regulate golf ball distance that everyone is going to be hitting it the same distance.....It will never happen....
You seem to be of the impression that golf should be played one way only...We are not in the dark ages anymore.....What you seem to forget is the man has a very very good short game also.....

I dont see you mentioning anything about old leftie and the way he hits it all over the place but still has the short game of a magician.

When a man can reduce a 485 yard par 4 to a driver and wedge has as much to do with ability as it has to do with technology....Technology will always advance as will younger fitter stronger players its just a fact of life!

Oh dear ...

The point is, that after such a poor tee shot, he could easily have ended up behind a tree with no shot at all. And, yes, he did play from an open space!

oh double dear! with that outlook then any direction is an open space!

If the 40yd hook didnt come off and it went straight into the trees on t'other side (as most attempts from us do) you'd no doubt be saying he should have chipped out as it was an impossible shot.

He tried it under massive massive pressure so lets just enjoy it for what it was and not try and pick holes in what was a thoroughly deserved win imo.

louis blew it on 10. he was lucky enough to hit the trees and bounce out. he had a clear look at the green but from a fair distance. he really should have found the green.

bubbas second was out of this world. some balls on the man. i thought the ice-man louis had it in the bag.

Darth ... you should've quit while you were behind with your first response to me. Hard of understanding are we?
