went to give blood today for the third time in my life. crying like a baby thinking about my young brother (rip) dont think i can handle doing it again myself im not strong enough. tough times in the bigslice head!!!

I remember you posting about losing your Brother, and am I right it's not been a year yet?

Always hardest in the first year - I've lost 2 of my Brothers and although people say it gets easier over time, it does, because you come to terms with it more.

One thing is for sure, you may of lost the person, but no one can take the memory of your brother away - focus on that, it helped me a lot.

Well done for at least going, I remember your post well, very sad indeed. Go with someone next time bigslice to support each other.

An amazing guy I knew died last week in his sleep, only 46 and super fit, people supporting each other is helping enormously.

cheers boys, i will never forget but the giving blood is getting harder and harder to do (bad memories). i think going by myself isnt helping. will go with one of the 15 folk ive converted to giving blood

Dont be going on your own mate , & talk to family about how your feeling , they probably feel the same & are waiting for some one elses to bring it up ..
A good cry is very healthy mate & you have good reason for it . be strong & best of luck

Stopped giving blood as i got some tattoos , time limit is well up may start again ..

Giving blood is a good thing and I really should go back. It's been 20 years since I last gave and I'm A RH neg so I really should get the finger out.
