Hey all -- I'm new to this forum and I know posting a new thread without actually contributing to other conversations is a bit of a no-no... However, I'm pretty proud of this so thought I'd share! I was playing in a tournament and found myself in a bit of a tricky situation involving a fence... By sheer luck and maybe a tiny bit of skill (ha ha ha) I managed to thwack my way out of it! Think this may be my life peak in one shot! Woohoo!

Has anyone else got any similar experiences? I wanted to put together a top 10 style article and send it out!

Hope you enjoy the clip!

Thanks bladeplayer! Great to be here. I never really went on forums much before but people have mostly been great to chat with so think I will be a regular if you will have me!

I was only really posting for a bit of fun..I didn't realise someone else had posted it!

I just thought well I haven't got much to lose here have I? Took me back to my crazy golf days when I was a kid!! Where it all began... hahaha! Next time hoping to get it in... maybe an oldskool 'off-a-tree' kinda job?

What's your best fluke? I'm now obsessed with YouTube searching golf trick shots..can't get enough :)

Your very welcome mate , youl find a vast array off opinions and thoughts but its a good ole place 99% of the time .. double posts often happen so dont worry too much about that ..

My best fluke ? huh ! il have you know i meant every shot that went in or close :D:D . was unlucky with the ones that missed :D

had one on out par 3 3rd one day that i remember well , its round 200 off the blue tees , ball was fading (slicing) right , clattered into the big tree short and right of the green , we looked around for a bit and strangely couldnt find it , one of the guys happened to look over the mound to the green , lovely white ball with a big green stain bout 6" from the hole .. made the putt for the 2's aswell .. got some slagging over it ..

That comp you were in looked good fun , how'd did you end up playing in that may i be so bold to ask

Alright I'll say it, I know you're new here but...how lucky was that? It could have gone anywhere. Fair play for taking it on and what a great result but best shot in the world is a bit of a stretch :D

Anyhow, welcome to the forum.

P.S. I'm the one who considers hole in ones to be lucky shots so don't take it personally

Cracking good trick shot - but I've played a more skillful one (if I say so myself) from a similar distance off a green - and it ended up in the hole :)

I'd say mine was luck - but I've done it twice - 2nd time the same sort of shot from pretty much the same position. The second time I said - well I fluked it last time as I didn't really know what would happen, so let's see if I can make it happen again - and it did - actually more outrageously. So I put that down to skill :)

Except - you know what they say about lightening...

Reminded me of Miguel Angel Jimenez' 3rd shot against the wall on the 17th hole in the 2010 British open - except you ended up closer :)[h=1][/h]

give a million monkeys a million typewriters and...

though actually - can I say that these days as someone might think it racist (see Roy Hodgson to check)

But hey - what would have happened if the fence post wood was rotten and the surface was paper thin - you just deliberately embed your ball IN an out of bounds delimiter! Now that would have been funny :)

Great shot. You had limited options, went for the risk caught it well and it paid off. Yes luck was involved but also a great show of committing to the shot. Did you hole the putt though ;)

I've had a few lucky chip ins during comps and an nice eagle during a practice round but nothing much else. Used to play in my back yard as a kid where we had a hole with a bamboo cane and a fluorescent toy gun as a flag. It was located under a big sycamore tree. Hit the ball too hard and high, bounced around the branches of the tree hit the gun and dropped into the hole. That was my luckiest ever shot but not nearly as impressive.

Haha yeah that will be my line from now on as well!

Wow, good work wish someone would have got a vid of that shot mate, sounds epic! So close as well, makes you think why couldn't there have been just that tiny bit more power behind it!

The comp was the British par 3, got invited by one of the PMGC guys, was a brilliant experience (even without flukey shot fame haha!)

Where do you play?

I just played the ball as best I could in the position it was in... I was lucky the ball didn’t actually hit me in the face or anywhere else for that matter! It could have easily gone so wrong, but thankfully on the day it worked out! I think if I tried it again in the same place it might have been a different outcome....!!
