Hi guys,I have recently got myself a new Cobra S3 Limited driver, and I really like it.However it has a tour wrap grip that I don't really get on with(never used a wrap grip before) is there another grip (any brand) particularly suited to the driver? What grip do you use on your driver, and why? Cheers!

Pal of mine has had a few different drivers regripped and goes for Gold Pride multi compount one all clubs.

I personally love the tour wraps on my new forged Nike irons so would try a driver with them

I have the standard Mizuno M21 grip on my driver...... Not much help to you

I have Golf Pride ND Multi compounds on my irons..... These are nice.

A round (no spine) logo less grip. As I have a R9 driver. The grip is made by lamkin. The best thing is just fit your favourite grip.

Thanks Homer. My old Nike Dymo 2 driver had a special driver only grip in two sections.Does anyone know of anything similar?

It is a Tour Wrap I have, and it is tacky, but it feels wierd compared to my other grips.I need something more conventional I think. In fact Justman I see you have the same irons as me,do you know any replacement grips like the ones on the Cobra S3s? Ta

D'oh! Didn't see you use Tour Wraps in the original post. Sorry! Yeah, I like the grips on my S3s too. Closest I would imagine to that would be the Tour Velvets. Maybe Lamkin produce a grip that could work although I don't have any experience with them.

Cheers Justman, the S3 grips are the best I have used for sure! I see Lamkin make them,I must have a gander at their website for something similar.

I've always used golf pride V55 with the old grip rite swing rite logo on, I'm surprised they still make them because I've never seen anyone else using them.

Nice grips though, a bit softer than the tour velvet and a bit more feel I'd say.

Cheers Qwerty, they sound interesting! I think Lamkin Crossline Tour Standard might be what I am after, any users out there?

might seem stupid question but how often should i change my grips ive never had it done.

putter owned for about 18months same for irons
driver coming on for 2 years

this can depend on how often you play and where you store your clubs, there is no set time when you feel they are starting to get a little hard or shiney means the grips are past there best. the chances are are 2 years yu are probaly nearing the time for a change
