Had our yearly captains away day yesterday at Bentham Golf Club. Our captain got a great deal of bacon and coffee in the morning, then 10 holes 4 man team 2 to score, followed by soup/sandwiches then 18 holes 4ballBB and evening meal (steak pie/chips/peas and triffle) all for £45 a head!
The course was in fantastic nick and what a 'quirky' course.
A cracking par 3 6th which is the same set up as the 12th at Augusta!(pond at the front/bunker at the back) a few drive able par 4s and some nice dog legs. The 18th is beautiful with ditch before the Mackenzie green with the balcony from the clubhouse behind. One some cracking views of the Yorkshire hills! We were lucky with the weather and a great day was had by all. The owners and staff are all very welcoming.
Definatly worth a look guys!

Played there a couple of years ago and loved it, want to go back as I bought a 4 ball there. Great views and some really nice holes. Very friendly club.

Great course, it's very testing! Love that par 3 you mentioned!

It's a bargain course! You can usually find deals on twitter or deal monster. I got a two ball with tea/coffee for £25 in total.

I think they have an open weekend in September which is 18 holes, tea before and a meal after for £10...you can't grumble!
