Attaching Towel to Bag?

remember its not just about the towel, they're all pretty similar its the string/wire/plastic connector onto the bag thats the real 'engine', best get a real one as opposed to a 'made for the towel' attachment:smirk:

Nice pair of Boden towelling shorts (knee length, obviously - I do like to adhere to the dress code)) - then a quick rub of the ball on your crotch and it's clean as a whistle.

lastly, try American Towel as they will let you rub a few first then either get a deal there or online.

Watch out that their towelometer doesnt show you cleaning balls faster than you normally do :smirk:

This is probably a silly question...but is there a particular "done" way of attaching your towel to your bag? :o

My bag (TM R1) has a towel ring but when I attach the carabiner from the towel to it, it's so low that the towel nearly drags the floor!

So, how do you attach yours?! :D

EDIT - I realise that this is the least of my worries as a beginner golfer - but I'm going to a "proper" golf club on the weekend and don't want to set off any more alarms that scream "newbie alert" than I already will with my playing!

Besides getting the towel right, also ensure that you have matching tees. Nothing screams newbie like having a black towel and an Orange tee. I learnt my lesson very early on when i was visiting a 'proper' club. Now my orange tees match well with the Rickie Fowler Puma towel.
Additionally, if you want to be respected in the club house, you can push the boat out and get matching trousers. If the club I am visiting is too stuffy, then I would pack a Loud Mouth trousers (preferably one that matches the towel)...

Good luck for the weekend..

Lol. This thread has got to be the most light hearted thing I've seen on here for a while. Loving it. Kind of scary that it is basically a microcosm of all equipment threads. All we need now is some "banter" and it will be complete.

Shut up chomper. You're not good enough to be offering advice on a towel thread!!:D

It's interesting that this thread has appeared this week, I've just invested £250,000 in a new towel cleaning business. Me and my father have bought a towel cleaner, which we have had fitted in the boot of my Skoda Fabia estate. It uses warm water which is vibrated at 3000 vpm (vibrations per minute) to clear all the grit and dirt out of the weave. It also cleans any holding rings using the same method.

We're thinking of charging around £6 / £7 per towel, and visiting local clubs each Saturday & Sunday. Is this something you'd invest in? I say invest as we all know the importance of a deep cleaned towel.

Banter?? I'll give you banter...............

I'm surprised you found your way to the right thread......

I can't believe all the poor advice that's been given out on towels.

Forget towels altogether and get one of these bad boys...

Just pop it round your neck... job done.

94 posts and not one of you has given the OP the right answer. It's quite clear that his towel doesn't have enough bounce and is digging into the ground as he goes along. If he had the right bounce it would just skip effortlessly across the surface.

Amateurs the lot of you

Surely that's if he is a digger and not a slider though surely? you know what assuming does dont you Hawkeye?

Just maybe Bobmac is missing a golden opportunity... a V-Easy, showing the angle needed to hang the towel, is the way forward.
