Attaching Towel to Bag?

You need to dress it to left also, everything has to be uniform, unless you dress to the right

Club Glove make some 'Caddie Towels' that have a slot in the middle, so you hang them over a club. Cost about a tenner on some web sites. Can be carried onto a green to wipe the ball rather than having to trek back and forth. I still managed to lose one though!

Remember to dampen about 50% before you go out. Makes cleaning things much easier but can dampen clothes etc if carrying!

Does the towel nap run vertical on those?
I made the mistake of buying a £30 Saw You Coming one but the nap ran horizontal.

I've created this handy guide to calculate Ideal Towel Length (ITL) at home yourself .

Red line is the top to bottom (T2B) measurement. As you can see measurement for stand bags is to the ground when stand is deployed. Cart bags is to the top of the wheel of what ever trolley you are using. Measurement should be made in cm.

The equation to work out the ITL and provide you the best performance is as follows.

ITL = T2B - CZ

CZ is the clearance zone and = 10cm. this ensures the towel will not touch the ground or wheel and allows for for differences between attachment methods to the specified point on the bag.

You can get professionally fitting using Clothscope or Towelman but this comes with a cost.

I believe Taylormade with be offering an adjustable towel to be released at Christmas. Length can be adjusted using a proprietary tool with just a simple twist and lock system. It is called the DRYR

I have a Mizuno Tour towel and it mahoosive.

There's no carabeena clip loop on the towel.

I either drape it over the back of my woods as I walk or drop it thought the grab handle on the back of my bag.

Normally the former as opposed to the latter.

I suggest you ignore all this advice and go and see a Pro. He will be able to measure you up for the correct towel and give you a set of lessons (buy four get one free) on correct towel attachment and ball wiping techniques. I cant express strongly enough how having a poor towel hang will hold back your full potential as a golfer. ;)

What club are you joining?

Love it :D

I have a TM Burner carry bag with a towel loop. I just thread my large (borrowed from a hotel) towel through that and everything works well, plenty of ground clearance & I can use it whilst walking along.
If that doesn't work, do as you are doing but carry your bag above your head, problem solved.

Slime.

If they are the same as the John Letters ones that were available from the kilted 'lovelies' at The Seniors Open at Walton Heath (I got 1 on 3 of the days) they are actually a bit daft. Too big to use on the bag; too small to use for anything else! Mine went for prizes.

I find the large towels are ideal with a hole cut in it that I can put over my head, I never lose it and always handy to wipe.......anything:smirk:

Think Clint Eastwoods Poncho...look

I just use a beer towel, just the right size;)

Which beer?

It's important you know - the general guide is:-

Cat 1 - kaliber/lager top
Cat 2 - coors lite
Cat 3 - Stella 4.0
Cat 4 - Skullsplitter

I could suggest sowing 10 hankies together to look like a Ra-Ra skirt, it gives you a little buzz when you stick your hand in.......let me know how you get on.
