are you a compulsive kit cleaner

I take looking after my kit seriously, and as such it looks after me . There is nothing worse than being on the first tee and looking at your trolley, bag, clubs and shoes and seeing them dirty.
we have a couple of members at my club whose kit isnt exactly what you would call tidy, and looks shabby .
shoes that have never been cleaned ,trolleys that have more mud on them than the course. and clubs that have dirt on the faces dried on from the previous games.
my kit isnt the most expensive stuff out there but it is clean and looked after, and i like to think that it looks the part even if i cant use them properly.

rant over.

Not so much with my clubs. I prob give them a polish/groove clean once a month.

Shoes on the other hand are cleaned, dried, stuffed with paper and back in box after every round.

It comes from my sneaker freaker addiction - all my trainers are brushed and in orifinal boxes...over 20 pairs...

I hear you - I've over 100

I never clean my shoes, but now I have some new ones, I plan to. The clubs though, I like to clean the night before, I doubt it does much, but there is something quite nice about looking down at the shiny metal the first few holes.

Played this morning - cleaned my clubs already...not so obsessive about shoes, quick blast with compressed air clears most debris

I've got baby wipes in my locker so my shoes get a wipe before going back in after they've been air blasted, my clubs always get wiped after each shot and then I bring them home once a week for a bath & scrub, my towels go into a specific golf laundry basket along with my other golf clothing and gets washed in a different liquid to that of our main washes, I'm not old enough to wash my balls in the sink yet but I can honestly state I don't think I've ever physically washed them

Used to be. Used to clean, polish and oil after every round or practice. Got a child now. She needs channels changed on the tv, apples, oranges, yogarts, cloths put on Barbie... And so on.

They are for hitting balls and the ground, I'm ok if they look like that now.

yeah not sure you're being totally honest with yourself here, cant say Ive ever seen your bag look anything but impeccably clean every time!!!!

mine, i clean them when they look "too" dirty

What are you guys using your bag towel for, decoration?

Keep half of it wet, use one side to wipe the clubhead after every shot (it takes 2 seconds), and the other side to keep your ball clean at each opportunity. It's so simple, can't remember the last time I had to clean my clubs, they're never dirty in the bag.

I did have a forum member who told me my clubs were a disgrace. He started with a 7 to my par 4, I followed it with another par to his 6, and another par to his second 6. I offered to sell him some dirt - knob...

No. Never cleaned the clubs - play - shove in boot - get out next time. Similar to shoes - although I do keep telling myself to treat them better - but when it comes to it I can never be arsed!! :D

Clubs cleaned between shots, good clean once a month.

Shoes cleaned after every use with a damp cloth and polished once a month. Just because I'm playing crap doesn't mean I have to abuse my gear. Maybe this is why I always get a good return when selling on old clubs

I rarely hit a shot without giving the grooves a quick wipe with the metal brush.

It's the first thing first. Wee brush must be in my pocket on the first tee.

Keep your club faces/grooves clean after every shot

Jet blast your spikes after a round

Get the mud off the bearings of the trolley

The rest is up to how important you feel about pristineness.

As the title says ,are you a compulsive kit cleaner,do you clean your clubs religiously after every round ,do you clean your shoes and wipe down your bag ,is your trolley washed off after that wet round .do you wash your balls in the sink.? these questions are to some a laugh ,but im sure that there are others like myself that keep the kit upto scratch

No.

:whoo:

Always clean my clubs, trolley and shoes after every round. Same when I played footie, always turned up with nicely cleaned and polished boots. Didn't improve my rubbish game though! Same with my golf ;)
