How many times have you stood on the 10th with a decent card in your hand and then all hopes have evaporated in the next few holes...

Richard Sterne, today in the BMW, after 3 rounds of 69 stood on the 9th level for the day.
He then dropped 7 shots in the next 10 holes.

So don't despair - it happens to "real" Golfers too....

Happened me today Murg.....But the other way round....Had a nightmare front nine and stood on the 10th tee i was 11 over....4 shots left of my handicap for 9 holes and i came back 6 over for a nett 73.....Fuming with my short game...It cost me big time this morning....


I missed the cut by 2 shots in the Captains Prize.......

Of course it happens. Marcel Siem seemed to melt away over the closing stretch too. Shame to see my tips didn't help Brett Rumford make the cut and he had an 80 in round 2!!!!

I guess we are always going to be a lot more erratic and I've certainly had more share of "games of two halves" where the front nine has been glorious/devastating and the back nine has been the exact opposite. One day I'll do it for all 18 holes
