Floyd didn't take them off. He was fighting poorly. He was being kept at distance and getting hit with shots, he couldn't land anything and was getting popped everytime he came in (the uppercut in the first for example). After round 3 he changed his gameplan and kept a lot closer to Conor and prevented Conor utilising his power. Conor's not a power puncher on short shots, he's a long rangey fighter that needs distance to use his power. Once Floyd closed the gap it made it much more difficult for Conor to land with any power, and Floyd eventually took over. Floyd didn't give him anything, he started slowly with an incorrect gameplan and got punished. Fortunately for Floyd his superior fight IQ kicked in, he mixed up his gameplan and took over.
