Anyone else sign up for Caddyaid???

Just before the Ryder cup, GM had an advert on the main site for a free trial of caddy aid, I signed up but never got the text message with the link. was looking forward to it but it didn't come.

Anyone else sign up and not get it. Or sign up and did, if so, what is it like?

No didn't see that link, though you can get a free mobile download from the caddyaid webby site anyway I believe.

add to that the price of abluetooth GPS reciever & its a reasonably priced basic system.

I believe that it was a product demo for Valhala only.

As for the product as a whole, for £99 (if you have a windows mobile phone with GPS already), it looks good value.

I've tried Freecaddie and although the free version only provides front, middle and back of greens, it's quite useful.

I have the new I phone and its got great software for GPS although its not windows based (i dont think)

Anyone recommend a good one to go with it? otherwise am gonna be shedding out for a skycaddy

The I phone is not windows ie microsoft based, and therefore freecaddie and caddyaid probably won't work on it.

Just done a search on Google and come up with teeshot. However I've not found anything that's GPS golf based for the iphone.

Cheers hapless, I will give these a better look when I get back to England.

My course yardage is a little erratic so GPS is becoming a must.

And they allow them in comps too

Our club also allows them in comps. Would seem silly if they didn't as they're trying to sell the things!!
