Another weekend, another rain-off

Went down the club n the hope of getting out.......solid rain since about 10am here and zero sign of it letting up. Home, lunch, booze.

Rain earlier than that here and we went out in it. Came off after an hour. Ridiculous amount of rain coming down and we've never seen so much water on the course. Will be closed tomorrow.

Been very wet and wind very gusty. NOt ideal and glad I've not had any golfing plans for the weekend. I can imagine my course starting to get a little heavy underfoot in places. Clubs in the car as may be playing somewhere in darkest Northampton with my uncles and cousin tomorrow. No idea where

Forecast for rain all day here so we decided to postpone until tomorrow which is forecast as the better day.

Hardly rained all day today........obvious what will happen tomorrow now :( ARSE

I don't think it has stopped raining all day here, the course was showing as being open this morning but it must have been a quagmire.

Got back a couple of hours ago after having a night away in Shrewsbury and nipped up the club for a quick drink and only 2 people went out to play today as it was that bad and they only managed 7 holes.

Weather forecast was wrong again, no sunshine as it turned out but a cold and reasonably dry 18 holes without any wind. Nice to be out again for the first time in a month.

That'll be the last time on a course in 2015 for me. Roll on 2016.

Loving my new course, this is after 18 holes today (before blowing my shoes/trousers off). Local rivers have broken their banks with the rain we had yesterday, but yet the course is bone dry. #smugface

I played last Sunday down in East Lothian, even though it was a 200 mile round trip because the Forth Road Bridge is closed, but this weekend the guys from Edinburgh are coming up to St. Andrews so they will have the extra miles. I'm also playing Rosemount tomorrow. Forecast is for 2 degrees tomorrow falling to minus 2 overnight, so it might be a frost delay at St. Andrews.

Well Saturday was a fine day for golf with only a slight frost, but today was a different matter. Minus 4 degrees when I woke and no sign of the frost lifting all day and St Andrews closed. Ah well, at least I got a game this weekend when most didn't.
