Another round ruined by idiots - but Fragger makes up for it.

To be fair, we got round in less than 3 1/2 hours - not good for a 2-ball but not bad for a 4-ball.
They weren't playing slow - thery're just a pain in the rectum!

:mmm: Fourball holding up a two ball. Sorry but would have had to have words. That is just basic etiquette.

the only answer to slow play is to have a course ranger / marshall driving around chasing slow players on ; pay him £50 on medal days, add it onto sweep money an extra 50 p each, you will get results they used to use them in spain years .and it worked. The only time we get waved thro is at the computer to enter your score in the clubhouse . it's young guys who watch too much golf on telly , and saunter down the fairway , change clubs upteen times and just waste time . hurry up and i might just get a few more rounds in before i pop my socks , can you tell i had a bad day.

Fragger a bandit?... who'd have thought it!

Get in there Fragger! Glad you've moved your game forwards

Its moving on very nicely, handicap dropped from 23 to 21 on the back of a Comp and a supp card

We have had 2 comps rained off in the last month, and it is fair to say that im playing to about 17/18

another comp on 30 May and 2 more towards the end of June should hopefully see it tumble.

Dont consider myself a bandit, just an improving player with a handicap system than cant keep up.....for now

:)

I don't think things will ever change especially on pay and play courses. Sorry if that sound elitist because I'm at a private members club but the difference is chalk and cheese. We have some notorious slow players in the groups that regularly go out in front of ours. However. we have been making our opinions known on the course and in the bar and to be fair they have gotten better. The majority of members at our place will let groups through. However it does seem to be the seniors at our place who think they own the course and will not allow a two ball or singleton through even when they've lost over a hole in front so I can't hold too much of the high ground. Again it is mentality thing and it won't change. I've given up getting rattled - they won't be around forever

played like a clampit on the front 9 today. 13 points. got it together on back 9 a bit.shot 30 overall so still only 1 round this season under 30.chuffed about that. hit the pin on the 10th from 150 yards over the pond. shouting at it to drop, clink, three feet away. missed birdie putt. typical.

on the upside. my bud shot 41 to come second to someone who shot 45 in the morning! cut from 17 to 15. now the work starts for him. he was due it tbh!
