Annoying things during a round......

Having a lesson and then hitting it well in practice and playing like king of the knobs in the roll up with no idea where the ball is going next. Followed swiftly by hitting the range to rectify said problem and creaming it again within five shots

It's my trolley.
It is responsible for all my bad shots as well as Wars, Famine, Drought, the Banking Crisis, Simon Cowell and Plagues of Locusts, Slugs and Midges.
If it deserves punishment, then punishment it will get......

You left out the Murder Of Rasputin

Sounds like it deserves what it gets, are you being too lenient with it?

Fragger :)

clowns not aware of people around them on different holes , shouting stuff like , did you see where it went or shouting the reply , where there are tee boxes near walk ways & people thrudge along chating & making noise despite people on the box ready to play , just pause for a couple of seconds , let them play & job done .... all down to lack of awareness & manners probably

The way people say the most stupid things. Sayings like:

"That was unlucky", no it was just a **** shot.
"Well out from that bunker", no it only just got over the lip. Yes it got out, but I do have a higher expectation in the bunker than just getting it out. Well out would be close enough for a "gimmie"
Someone moaning that after hitting a wedge 10 foot off the ground, they then moan it did not hold the green.
People that when having a friendly knock round still insist on reading putts from all 4 sides.
Someone walking out onto your fairway when they have hit a wide one, with no consideration for the people playing that hole.

Oh yeah and I forgot to mention the usual forum irritations.........Old people playing slow, female golfers, young golfers taking forever to line putts up, young people with electric trolleys, white belts, any loud coloured trousers, DMD's, 4 hours+ for a round.........

And, from what I read, stupid hats!

Some bunker related ones (all of which have happened to me)

Discovering after thinning your shot 20 yards over the green that although the sand where you were standing was 6 inches deep, it was only a quarter of an inch deep where your ball was.

Ball rolling into bunker and staying on the downslope 2 inches from the back lip because someone has carefully placed the rake in the bunker with the handle lined up long the inside of the back edge.

Having to walk halfway across a bunker to get a rake because some one has tossed it right into the middle of the damn thing, so you then have to rake all your foot prints all the way back again.

Raking the bunker and the head falls of the rake and you cant get it back on. :o

Ball stopping right on the edge of a bunker so you have no stance and one of your group saying "that's lucky, just stayed out".

Nearest point of relief from GUR/casual water puts you right behind a humungous bunker with no green to work with (have had the opposite happen too;)).

People that never own up to hitting a bad shot, instead they say things like:

The wind took that one

The putt didn't break

The green is too fast/slow/wet/dry

What an unlucky bounce

There is not enough / too much sand in the bunker

The tee box is facing the wrong direction

The rough is too long

The pin is cut in the wrong place

I cant play after waiting around

Someone must have played my ball

This driver is supposed to be draw biased
