Get a load of this.

I wont name the site but its a pretty well known one:)

I just got my first set of blades, (712MB). I got the C-taper shaft. I have noticed that some of my iron shots are really going further and am wondering why? For example, (I live at about 4500 feet so my distances are more than sea level) during my last round I hit my 8 iron 200 yards, my 7 iron 210, my 3 iron off the tee 298 with roll out.

My thinking is there is more mass concentrated directly behind the ball and closer to the ball and that makes the ball come off the face faster. Am I off my rocker here or has anyone else experienced more distance with blades?

Go on.. name and shame the site

I think the sea level bit was the funniest....

I've not looked at the thread on WRX but I must be in the minority because I don't actually see the problem with it.
I'm probably longer than average but not hooge, and when I carried a 3 iron a well struck shot would probably go ~230 with roll on hard fairways.
The thinner air of almost a mile above sea level will help bigger hitters (but hinder slow swingers as backspin has less effect) so I don't think it's far fetched at all.
