Amazon Prime Football

as long as the vast majority are happy then who are the rest of us who it is an issue to to complain lol

What I am suggesting is that it is only an 'issue' for those that indulge in 'In-play' betting which (hopefully) isn't the majority... Perhaps Sky should up their bid for coverage using their profits from Sky Bet rather than use subscribers money and everybody would be happy...

It's not only betting apps that send notifications, Fantasy Football and Sky Sports Score Centre do that as well unless you remember to go and turn them off.

Also so do my mates on WhatsApp, annoyingly, so I tend to have to turn that off when streaming football as well.

its also means turning off social media, whatsapp, not looking at text messages and ultimately having to try to not find out what happens before it does.

not everyone "consumes" the same way

sky increasing their bid will only increase sky sports subs, not a chance they fund it any other way in the long term, so guess what, its the customer paying yet again

Generally speaking any buffering will be down to the individual users set up rather than Amazon. It’s also not about speed of broadband it’s about consistency, changes in speed can cause buffering so best to have it hardwired rather than wireless for example.

Bit of a pain, had to refresh 3 times as it seemed to get stuck.

On the plus side, absolute BLISS watching a game with no commentators. :)

Strange, I had two feeds running in HD last night. Not an issue.
Have a message saying something about HCPC or something....to do with protection. Anyway, Ive had buffering issues and skipping of image. Not overly impressed as it seemed to happen every time there was a goal.....

Had a great feed on all matches last night and tonight. With BT Infinity so not sure if that helps or not.
Already having Prime it gets a big thumbs up from me.

I don’t have great internet so the picture wasn’t great , their graphic were good , and it’s too far behind and not great when you get goal alerts before the pictures

Impressed with Ally McCoist though - just seemed to really enjoy it all

Didn't watch the first night, but last night streamed like a dream. No buffering, had about a minute where the picture wasn't perfect HD but other than that it was flawless. Really impressed.

The point that has already been made is that you don’t get less matches on Sky, it just costs you more if you want the additional matches that BT (and now Amazon) provide.

I am far from convinced by this.

Thing is, if Arsenal are not on telly, I am not fussed about not seeing them. If the game is televised, I want to see it.

The HDCP (content protection) handshake is failing between your device and display. This can either be because your graphics card is not HDCP compliant (unlikely these days unless you are running something like a GT210 or older) or your monitor is not 1080p compliant (could be HD Ready 720p) and there is a resolution conflict in your settings. Last thing is that you are connected by VGA and not a compliant standard such as HDMI, DVI or Diplayport.

Usually a temporary handshake failure can be resolved by unplugging the cable and reconnecting it then restarting the application.

Everyone I've spoken to about it is raving about it. They hope they get more of it. Ability to pick whatever game seems to be the winner .

Also may be a generational or regional / both thing that because we all use Amazon for everything we have prime. So see it as free

To be fair you can't normally flick between games as we don't get 2 televised at the same time. Seems a bit picky to pull holes in the coverage. I've been impressed so far.
