After all of this talk of slow play.....

Wouldnt dream of horsing it round the course in a silly time like that.

Much prefer to spend 2 and a half hours playing loads of balls around 6 holes.

Would do this regularly at lee park late on a sat afternoon.

15 minutes chipping at each green is an hour and a half burned itself and will be much more beneficial for your game than hammering 9 holes.

As a two ball we would regularly beat two hours, and that would include playing through.

I have never seen any reason why golf should take more than 3 1/2 hours. It just shoudn't.

Same on all counts.

The fiddles at our club all take around 3 hours for 3 or 4 balls. If anyone slows the pace down more than a couple of times then someone will have a polite, quiet word.

The pros should not have unlimited time to play in my view. They are imitated around the world so have a responsibility to set a good example.
