I see that some of the players at the Abu Dhabi Championship were wearing shorts. Is this a new thing the DP World Tour is allowing? And if so, why weren't they all wearing shorts given how damn hot the place must be?

It's been in place for some years now..
If the temperature gets too high then shorts are allowed...
Some, obviously, don't feel comfy doing it..

Takes me back to my school days when if the temp stayed over a certain level the headmaster issued, "shirt sleeves order!"
There's some very smart shorts etc being worn at this event, and even some excellent "fitted" untucked shirts. I don't think it's quite lead to anarchy or civil unrest!
