WOW !!!!
All of a sudden things are very clear concerning swing faults that i have developed since returning to the game after a 3 year break.
Getting fitter and stronger has actually had an adverse effect on my mobility, which in turn has caused faults in my golf swing.
Thanks for posting Darth.

I reckon you posted that just to help Homer? :D

42min52sec.."what's the best way to help with early extension?"

Funnily enough it mentions Jim Hardy and I'm working on his Plane Truth swing with my new teaching pro and so the drill isn't new to me. There are actually several others on their website that my pro has suggested are more relevant

[cryptic encoding]...... pulling chain I'm your Homer :)

Ok I am screwed. I have joined the MyTPI website and will be working on the fitness, mobility and flexibility. Great video, thanks very much for posting it.

Actually what he says makes perfect sense and it seems I'm far from alone in standing up into impact although a lot of my issue would be better served if I could stop the overswing which makes the shoulders force the head to move. 3/4 swing is king in 2012

I tip my hat to you Homer, it's a big decision to move to a new swing process and to see it through. I do sincerly hope you get out of it what you are after. It would be great if you opened a thread in the other section and describe in more detail the process of the planetruth swing... I wonder if it will be met with as much criticism as S&T :) I could certainly do with sharing the burden when it comes to 'method swings' :D LOL

Sounds good to me. I had lessons with one of the best teaching pros of his day, Roy Mason (Carls dad) at Goring & Streatley. He would hold a club over your head, and if you lifted before you hit the ball he would smack you with it. If you look at other sports such as cricket and tennis it is amazing how still the head is kept, and that is when they are hitting a moving ball.

Steve the Pro at Blackmoor is teaching 'plane truth', been to the states three or four times on courses, and the members who have had lessons that I have spoken to are really impressed. Only problem one had was he had a draw driver which he can now not hit, as he has gone from slicing to drawing the ball.

@ op thanks very much for posting... Very interesting. I always thought that I was extreamly flexible but I now know I am not and not very stable either.

Watched it now and WOW! Just WOW! The relation in the chain breaking down makes so much sense especially to anyone thats raced on a track, miss the racing line on corner 1 and you're out for at least the next 2 lines!

I knew I had to get fitter and this shows what parts and why.
