Because they refer to them and their caddies as a team? Think it sounds absolutely fine

Seems the majority of the players do this actually. I thought it sounded weird, but then I can't relate to it given that I don't have the experience of having a caddy. Maybe at that level and with a regular caddy you do feel like more of a team than an individual? I wouldn't begrudge them it.
