I play a 9-hole course and in today's medal I definately played them as two very different laps...not interntional. Well that is not exactly true, as I did set out to improve on teh back nine after a shocker of a front nine.
Playing off a 10 Hcap, I was 9 over for the front nine. 3-putts ahoy, missing greens left right and cetre and a run of three double - B's
Was trying to get my head round my worst round of the year when I stepped onto teh 8th tee ( after 3-putting the 7th from 10feet)
The 8th is 185yd off the medals. I nailed a 4-iron which pitched 2 feet from the pin...and ht the pin. The golf gods were not that kind as it pinged 10-12 feet. But 2 putts for par were suffice.
My faith was further restored with a par at the 9th.
Birdies on 10th & 12th got the fire going in the belly.
I completed the back 9 on 1-over, so finished the round at net par.
