Had a customer in the other day.
"My Motability car is due for replacement in 12 months time, what 7 seaters do Nissan do?"
"Well Sir, we have the new X-Trail which is offered as a 7 seater, or the NV200 Combi, which is based on a van and is available as a 7 seater too"
"What's that car over there?"
"That's a Leaf Sir, all electric. But it's not available as a 7 seater"
"That's ok. I don't need a 7 seater"

I used to get them in a past business, they'd come in for a pond liner after digging a humongous hole without thinking about what size liner, pump or filtration they'd need to keep it safe and stable, after taking an age to explain what they'd need, they'd still pick all the cheapest gear which wouldn't work and then come back in a few weeks to complain that there pond isn't clear, smells and the fish that they've put in straight away against advice (not bought from us) have all died!!

Customers are like women, can't live with them & and can't live without them :whistle:

"OK, sir, have you had any quotes elsewhere?"

"Yes, but nothing beats my renewal"

*I take details and run quote*

"Ok sir, good news, I can get you the cover you need for £389"

"Oh"

"Were you expecting it to be less, sir?"

"No, it's just that this is a bit too cheap, I think I'll leave it"

"But it's with HIGH STREET BANK, a very reputable provider, providing you with the cover you said you wanted, and more, at half of the price you've been quoted elsewhere, what is putting you off?"

"It's just the price.... it's too cheap"

"Well, you could pay the premium and then send me a cheque for £200 if it makes you feel better"

That normally equates to cost then. Survey needs more detail.

Oh it is alot more detailed mate bout 20 questions on it ,its run by an outside agency on behalf of VW Ireland ,

Some answers just make you wonder tho ..

Not a believer in the accuracy of surveys like this anyhow , too variant on peoples mood at time of the call

I had a survey after a service recently and my response was similar.

Service was excellent and I would recommend the place to firends buying a car but when asked if I would use it again my reply was "Only until the warranty has finished then I'll go elsewhere". Dealership services are pricey ;)

SSSH ya dont have to go to a dealership for your warranty to be valid , (dont tell any1 tho)

Me: Can I ask how much your he quoted you?
Customer: £500
Me: But we quoted £475
Customer: Yes, but his fitting is free.
Me: Our price includes fitting
Customer: do you charge for fitting?
Me: Yes, but the total quote we gave you included fitting.
Customer: Why would I order from you when he offers free fitting?
Me: Because our total price is less than his total price.
Customer: But his fitting is free
Me: OK, I will tell you what I will do. I will give you the carpet, the underlay, the gripper and even the fitting, all for free. But you must buy the door plate and it costs £475.
Customer: Now you are just being stupid.
