Ive posted before about my abysmal Comp record on our Par3 199yd 12th, and how each time with a 4/3 iron in hand, I've walked off with a 4 or worse, so set about finding a club to suit, as currently, I didnt carry anything between a 3 iron and my 4 Wood.
Cue a 7Wood aquisition, bought one from Grumps on here 1st, but then saw a WarBird 7W with exact same Steel shaft as my 4w, so too the plunge, - a steal at £15.
Tonight, we sneaked onto the White tee on 12th, just so I could try it out on there, and stuff me, I hit it beautifully, a penetrating high flight and landing softly from high on the green,....and more to the point, 5' from the pin, which I duly missed ! However, a tap in Par, which for me, on this hole, is a rarity.
Now it may be simplistic, but this could be the difference to me getting back down to 9 this year.
+3 over 12 Holes tonight has certainly lit my fuse too, I was on fire !
