4 of us off to North Berwick tomorrow, one of the guys is panicking that we can't go for a drink together as he has read that the rules in Scotland are a max of 8 people from 3 households can meet indoors.

I've told him not to worry as, given we are staying in 2 apartments, we will actually be 4 people from 2 households :-)

Seriously though, are we likely to get any grief?

Just tell them your surname is Walton, you are all brothers and all live together.

Surely you just lie and say two of you flatshare or something if questioned? These pubs are not asking for proof of address are they??

Name and contact number required, social distancing 1 metre, shouldn't be a problem .
Great course and welcoming clubhouse, enjoy, maybe IanG will come and buy you a drink :p

Passports soon maybe required :D

Remember they do not accept the new black ones made in Poland.;)

PS you will be fine so long as you do not behave like English tourists abroad.
They do need a contact address though, I assume that would have to be your home address, so tricky.
Is it not the same in England:unsure:

I've got 14 guys heading to St Andrews for golf at the end of October. Spent yesterday contacting pubs and restaurants booking tables etc. It's fairly well tied down up there. No booking no entry. What could go wrong?
From our point of view we shouldn't have any probs as we're observing the guidelines.
