39 points 4BBB -Will it be enough

Played in a Seniors today and had 39 points with 21 on back 9. We also had 15 on back 6 which is helpful.

It was blowing a gale and we were in the lead when we left with over half the field complete. There was another 39 and the next best 37.

Will it be enough points to win the £100 each first prize or am I clutching at straws!

The presentation is 7.15 tonight. I expect to be in the prizes but what do you think?

I play in about 10-15 opens a year, mostly in this format. Most winning scores seem to be around 43-47 points, when weather is gernerally ok. On some tough courses/conditions possibly late 30's may do, although one was won this year with 37 points (North Manchester) although the greens were shocking!!!

Dont know about seniors, but may get a place. Hope you win though - let us know.

Excellent news, shame I couldn't recruit you! Was it at your home course? Conditions must have been a tad wet and wild - assuming the 4 miles across the bay don't make that much difference!

It was won on a Countback. we had 21 back 9 others 19 Home course and we were a tad fortunate as just after we finished it bucketed it down for 10 minutes otherwise the result may have been differenet.

Thanks for the congrats. Big trophy which was a singles and now a doubles pobably over 50 years old.

Had a few bevvies last night to celebrate!

Always good to do well in tough conditions and win. Played in one last week conditions were tough 39 won 1 section and 36 the other.
