Went this morning at 10 to play and mark a friends 1st card and had a good round, 91 of the medals when coming up the 18th another mate is waiting and reminded me we were playing at 2. first and last time i ever play 2 rounds in a row as I'm in bits and also hit 101 of the shorter tees anyone else do this regularly?

Not any more. Getting too old.
In the mid 90's a group of us used to go to Scotland for a week and play 36 holes a day for 6 days on the trot. Walking (and carrying)! It would kill me now. 36 in a day will see me crippled for 3 or 4 days and I won't want to play again for a while.
When I was a member at Crowborough I played in a betterball knockout one Sunday morning, went to 5 (yes 5) extra holes!! I just had enough time to run back to the clubhouse from the 5th green and meet up with the guy I had arranged to meet at 2.00pm to play in a singles knockout.
I was knackered but we had won the first match, and I won the singles as well 3&2.

;)

Play at least ten 36hole tournies throughout the year and is the main reason that I bought my powakaddy.

The tiredness still puts a strain on the concentration coming down the stretch though, not an issue if you are off the scoring pace but it's hard work to keep a decent score going till the end.

County champs are 2 consecutive days of 36 holes....now that is a young man's game!!

We still do - not in 7 hours but definitely 36 per day all week. Somehow this year I've got to persuade HID that when I get back on Saturday evening - after 12 rounds in the week, I'll still need to go to play in the Swindle on Sunday morning

Did it a couple of weeks ago. Was so hacked off at the morning round, came straight off 18 to the 1st, and went round again. Finished up with an hour on the practice ground too.

Used to but not anymore.
Dodgy knees and ankles have put paid to that.
I can just about play 2 consecutive days but I know I've done it when I've finished. PLaying wed/thur next week. Medal wednesday and double KO thursday. I'm gonna ache come friday!

Play 36 quite often, once you get the handicap down a lot of the big opens and national events are 36 holers so you just have to get used to it.

Well if that's the case I won't bother with getting a low handicap then.

;)

I do it regularly during the summer when I'm off work and of course there is the small matter of 72 holes in one day for the Longest Day challenge. I did that last year, went out on the Saturday morning to the range and then played in the afternoon. On Sunday I slept !!!
