2iron bag in the bag........

Found my 2 iron in the garage, probably only hit 5/6 times since I picked up my CB's, but now back in the bag as my quest to hit the short stuff more often gathers momentum for the season ahead......

Tis a luvverly club, but just hoping I can keep my fillings where they were intended if I use it again !!

I have a 2i in the bag as well, just re-shafted it myself with a graphite hybrid shaft, feels awfully light now but it's been fun learning about the club making process. It's a chunky headed old callaway so not far off a hybrid I suppose. Has gone quite well at the range at least.

I replaced my Cleveland 2Iron with 19* Hybrid,but a couple of months ago i decided to put the 2Iron back in the bag.The Hybrid is great club and far more versatile than the 2Iron,especially from the rough,but as much as i've played with the FCT setting it only wants to hit the ball with a high draw.The 2Iron on the other hand can hit the ball high,low,left or right,so its a great "go to" club from the Tee.

I like that analogy,......gonna keep that one in mind !

To be honest, a Hybrid has never been an option for me, just can't get my head around the look when sat behind the ball, - always preferred a 3/4 iron when needed, or a 7W when soft landing required.

I wouldn't fancy using one. I struggle with my 4 iron off some tees and prefer a hybrid or a gripped down 5 wood to give me more control and margin for error

Just sold one I had and another is on Ebay now.

Used to use it on several holes, specially when breezy, but found I can use a soft Driver so not needed. I have a 1 iron for ball striking practice!

yup my burner 1.0 3 iron is the same lenght and degree as a standard 2 iron, i wish i i could get 2(would really be a 1 ) iron in the set mind

I bought a 2 iron once. Tried to hit it a few times but it ended up in the back garden of a house by the 11th tee at Crowborough Beacon. One of my most pleasurable "helicopters" that was....... and breathe.

If I had a 2 iron it would be a tee shot only club, used to have a driving iron when I played for the two summers as a kid. I did not have woods just some irons and the driving iron + a putter
