I noticed the last one was in Kent and low and behold someone from kent got picked.

I doubt the next ones in Inverness, so i've no chance

Not necessarily - GM pay for all travel expenses for most/all of these things.

For the TM R11 fitting, my petrol was paid for (from Gloucester to Wentworth and back) and Alan/Steve got flights/trains down from north of the border which was all paid for.

now that im not answering on the basis that i could exclude myself from the said competition.

but just because the snow is 2ft, doesnt mean thats how tall they need to be, they could easily get stranded in the car and lose a few days from work.
