Little Lakes announced a few weeks back they’re closing as a members club and re-opening as a 9 hole pay and play.

Just heard that Sapey is closing also. They were offering some crazy prices to join this time last year, and so must’ve been in trouble for a while, but that’s still a shock, losing 2 in a month.

What a shame.

Sad to lose Little Lakes. A quirky, hilly course which was always good value.

Sapey was going to close around five years back and was bought by a guy that owns a lot of park home sites. A lot of members left as they believed he would turn it into a park home site but he never and invested a lot of money into the club.
Sapey is a nice golf course and it will be a shame if it closes, I can't see anyone wanting to buy a golf course and especially as it's fairly remote.

Shame about Little Lakes, my lad played there in a Junior County match a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it.

It's strange, in this boom time for golf a lot of courses are closing yet very few new ones are opening.
And most of those that are opening are where the sale of an old course made enough money so that they can build a new course, so it's a replacement rather than an actual new course.
