Clubs looking for members

I'd take a look at Kings Hill also, as it holds up better in the wet. Wrotham Heath is lovely though.

We have to reply within 3 hours at our company, even in its just a holding email thanking you for your enquiry and promising to get back within a couple of days with more info. You would think that in the current climate that any email asking about joining would be answered straight away with as helpful a reply as possible. It's really not that difficult in 2013.

Perhaps they have a waiting list. Believe it's an 18 month one at ours now for the men. Still could reply if that is the case though. Mind you I never heard back from a club with a falling membership apart from an automated "thanks for your email"

Also, to the OP would you be able to join any golf club so quickly? Ours was apply, then interview in a couple of weeks, then wait a month to be approved or not

My club runs open days once every few months where prospective members get a courtesy nine holes with a director or committee member, full guided tour and brief history of the club and a free drink after. We are getting plenty of new members this year (and membership fees not available on the website). Personally, rather than e-mail if I am looking at new clubs I prefer to rock up and have a look round. I've always found I could get a courtesy round if I asked
