As the title says.

I played in the Seniors Open (I know I don't look old enough) and shot 38 points to come joint 4th. 38 shots on the front 9 was the best of the season and marred by a worse than usual 43 shots on the back 9. I drove pretty poorly all day, trying to hit too hard in the strongish wind but, following a couple of tips from a mate, putted really solidly. I only got a .2 cut to 12.0 but it's in the right direction.

It's golf week and I'm out again tomorrow with MashleyR7 so hope we will enjoy ourselves and get a respectable score ..... and slow down the driver swing!

Well done every little helps:thup:

Well done Chris - lovely to be "comfortably" off 12 and closer to 11

4 qualifiers for me at my new course - 3 on the CSS and 1 in my buffer - I can feel a score in there somewhere!!

Well played. Great front nine and shame you couldn't quite get the back nine to match. A couple of shots saved and you could have been a winner. A cut is a cut and so enjoy it

Thanks Homer, the winner had 43 points off 10 which is pretty darn good. Had I not made mistakes I think I could have got 41 in the windy conditions. I'm delighted for the winner, a nice guy trying hard to get his handicap down too. Another gem tomorrow and hen Sunday, so, plenty more chances.

Nice start to the week, well played, although its only a little cut far better than a 0.1 back.
Good luck with the remaining events

Cheers mate

No little throw away comments about chompers and weekend warriors? Nice to see you posting compliments about stuff other than cat 1 golf.

Chris, well done mate, nice to see a move on the right direction.

Thanks to you too Murph!

Can I ask a question regarding the above? Where the tips given during the round?
