1st blob free round... only 36 points though :(

had my 1st blob free round but only had 36 points also managed to win nearest the pin on the 3rd with a great tee shot to 5 ft (missed the putt grrr).

4 3 putts which tbh were absolutely shocking (ping going back in the bag, the odyssey is going in the naughty cupboard) and some proper bad luck being blocked out 3 times after decent drives with what can only be described as the unluckiest bounces ever (huge jumps left or right to nestle under a tree twice and one that jumped behind one leaving a chip out sideways)

It was tough today with the heavy squally rain that came 9 holes in so overall not too bad. Now to start making a few more pars and a few less bogeys.

Overall happy but still know I left 5 or 6 out there.... AGAIN

Level handicap in difficult conditions when you aren't putting well. Sounds good to me. You can't worry about the "what ifs" and need to take away the fact you clearly played consistently not to blob a hole

yep I must admit I played steady, nothing great but shows my ability is getting better if I am walking off disappointed with a bogey or even a par on a couple of holes. Compared to this time last year when I was struggling to play to 28 most comps

Not been up the range for 3 weeks either so going to refocus this week and start the winter practice (long game and putting)

Great job sir, dont worry about the points, you did something great there, next time do the same and soon it will be 40 points and so on! I love rounds where I score in every home more than rounds where I score lots of points!

36 points in testing conditions is excellent playing well done. The concerns over the rapid drop from 28 down to 21 were unfounded to keep going and this time next year youll have dropped another 6/7 shots!

The only way to not leave any out there is to shoot something like 22 under gross... unless you have a habit of holing out from the fairway.
