I am sorry this ageist thing has arisen again. I am one of the the ancients still trying to play our game. I have come across awkward sods of all ages and sexes but generally we are all pretty well behaved.
I came across a lot of ageism in my final years of work, usually from young "managers"...

I too had my best round in recent times a few days ago.
Like you, I have health problems and my last medal round was a disaster followed a few days later with an emergency admission to hospital. Now in a controlled state I am building my strength for the next effort.

Do not neglect your short game. You can use a chipping net or a bucket in the garden to sharpen up.
But it is essential to find time for a lesson from the local pro to keep you in the right direction.
