Hello all Looking at a winter membership in the NE where there might be scope to play in qualifier comps. Dunstanburgh have a winter deal on but with no qualifier comps it's not as attractive. Does anyone play anywhere in the region that has qualifiers through the winter? Thanks!

I've always found Foxton to be wetter and in worse condition than Warkworth and Alnmouth Village. Enjoy, hopefully we are due some better weather soon!

Our pro is doing a pre-season programme for £150. Unlimited lessons from January through to March, been in once a week. Full GC2 access and on course when practical to do so. Great value.

Did you catch it a little fat when you marked it on the toe? Unfortunately I have found that if you have either a black or traditional face that it scuffs up badly if you catch one fat when the ground is particularly gritty in the winter. Black will just be more obvious on the eye!

I tried the 3 wood at Close House last week after my driver fit, good looking club and seems to travel. Not hugely different to my 2017 M2 so will be sticking with that for the time being.

I had a ball fitting just before last season and the TP5X was about 10 yards further than the competition on like for like swings!

Warkworth is our go to in the winter, always dry enough bar a couple of patches on the 1st and 6th. On grass tees albeit some of them are winter tees and not in the best shape but the greens are really good and roll well all year round. Honesty box and no need to book a tee time makes it good...
